Agent Architecture

The deliberate combination of reasoning pattern, coordination topology, safety boundaries and execution backbone used to deliver one AI-enabled outcome.

An agent architecture is not a list of personas or frameworks. It is the deliberate answer to four questions: how one agent reasons; how capabilities coordinate; where human and computer safety boundaries sit; and how the workflow persists, recovers and is observed.

For leaders, the decision is not whether the system is ‘multi-agent’. It is whether each added layer solves a measured problem in quality, safety, speed or cost. A system that cannot name its ownership, state and approval route is not ready because it has more agents; it is less governable.
