Agent Work Contract

A concise operating agreement for an AI agent covering its bounded mission, owner, inputs, tools, action boundary, evidence, stop conditions and review date.

An agent work contract turns a broad request such as ‘help with procurement’ into accountable work. It identifies one useful outcome, the human owner, permitted data and tools, expected evidence, action boundary, stop conditions and the recurring review of the workflow.

A tool connection is a capability, not a permanent delegation of authority. A good contract separates what the agent may prepare, recommend, do within a narrow rule and never do.

Revisit the contract whenever a new tool, data route, user group or external action enters the workflow.
